Criminal Law Week’s Statutes Service was launched in March 2006, as part of Criminal Law Week’s commitment to providing its customers with ever more comprehensive resources.
The Statutes Services consists of the full annotated text of a number of key pieces of post-1996 legislation, selected as being of particular relevance to the criminal practitioner. The service is constantly updated and new legislation regularly added. For a list of the legislation currently available, please click here.
The full text of legislation is displayed with all amendments, repeals and modifications, together with a complete set of annotations, including:
- commencement provisions
- transitional provisions and savings
- definitional provisions
- links to relevant case digests (and full text judgments from Casetrack)
- subordinate legislation
- Hansard references (with links)
- text of explanatory notes accompanying each legislative provision,
together with references to additional information relevant to the legislative provision in question. The Statutes Service is comprehensively cross-referenced, with hyperlinks to other legislation and digests within Criminal Law Week Online, and to legislation and other parliamentary and government material externally.
